Welcome to the Red Tie

Welcome to the Red Tie, my blogs for different discussions on movies.

What makes this blog different? I focus on a clear determination of who this movie is good for. Entertainment, marketability, and memorability are key factors that help you determine which movies are good for you. These can make it clear what you're looking for, whether it be a movie few understand or plain, cheap fun for everyone.

This blog has four areas, which you can most easily go to by clicking the navigation bar at the very top of any page. If you are interested in recieving emails whenever a post is made for one of or multiple of these blogs, please just email me at RedTieGuy@gmail.com stating specifically which and I'll add you to our email list. For just DVD release updates, just state so.

The Red Tie Review (http://www.redtiereview.blogspot.com/) is for movie and DVD reviews.

The Red Tie Greats (http://www.redtiegreats.blogspot.com/) is for looking back at movies I feel are the best of and must-sees. Spoilers are included in these, so be careful which one you see. These are longer and more in-depth than the reviews, more selective, and are for looking back as opposed to first reaction. They are done in no particular order.

The Red Tie Law (http://www.redtielaw.blogspot.com/) is my area to argue about what to and not to do in a movie. These are things that bug the crap out of me. These are my arguments for some of the things I mention in my reviews about what is good or bad.

The Red Tie Rant (http://www.redtierant.blogspot.com/) is my place for fanboyness and gossip. This is the everything else category, usually including movies I'm excited about, opinions on trailers, gossip, admiration, etc. Anything I don't feel relates directly to the movie to be a law (like theater manners, projector's problems, and trailers) will be in the Rant.

Look at the sidebar of each blog and you will lists of previous posts, an archieve search (by date), scrolling text of news worth knowing in Hollywood, and links to other blogs (links to my own blog is on the navigation bar).

To my credit, I have worked at a movie theater during summer and Christmas for 4 years now. My movie collection is growing steady, about another movie each week, if not more. My homepage is IMDb.com, and it takes up about as much time as facebook.

P.S. For awhile I had to hide my identity, hence the use of the name Jack Faber in some posts. But I am the same guy.
